Picture Partay

Guess what, this week is almost over!
Thank the Good Lord.
It hasn't been a bad week, but I will still be glad when I am able to go home this evening and know that today is my Friday and my weekend officially starts tomorrow. (technically I still work on my days off, believe me cleaning the house is a chore!)

I don't have a lot of time today so I just figured I would share some pictures with you guys that I took earlier in the week and when I feel like I can write about it without tearing up, I'll share with ya'll why these pictures are so special to me.

That is my lovely mare Paige and as you can tell she's loved by the whole family.
Hope you guys have a great Thursday.

OHP: What I'm Lovin'

I wish there some kind of way to know what the day's weather would hold.
Here in North Florida you just never know what you are going to get. It could be windy and 30 degrees. It could be drizzling and 80 degrees. It could very well be cloudy/sunny 75 degrees with a chance of sleet! It just can't decide and I'm tired of this bi-polar weather. I'm not into super hot tempratures, but a good consistent 70 degrees with a mild breeze isn't too much to ask. I would really like to open my windows and smell the fresh air. Since I can't have that I'm going to wait five minutes and see if it changes. haha.

I can at least enjoy the beautiful day and the fact that this is one of my days off! I love having days at my house to catch up on cleaning, or work on a project, or whatever. I love seeing the sunshine, I love just being in a good mood on a great day! Thats why today is

Tina Fey's Humor

"Every girl is expected to have caucasian blue eyes, full Spanish lips, a classic button nose, hairless Asian skin with a California tan, a Jamaican dance hall butt, long Swedish legs, small Japanese feet, the abs of a lesbian gym owner, the hips of a nine-year-old boy, and the arms of Michelle Obama. The only person close to actually achieving this look is Kim Kardashian, who, as we know, was made by Russian scientists to sabotage our athletes. Everyone else is struggling." - Tina Fey

Its Ok on Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day!

You are going to get tired of hearing that today lol. I know I probably will. I'm not the biggest fan of the commercialized Valentine's day. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy romance and doing something sweet for your spouse or whoever, I just am over cards & flowers. Neither of those things last. So, if you're going to do something for Valentine's do something memorable. It doesn't have to be extravagant, but a few stolen moments of sincereity with that special person will last a lot longer than that $50 boquet of roses.

OKay off my soap box, I am. Now just because I'm not a flowery kind of person on this auspicious ocasion, doesn't mean that I don't enjoy doing little things for my kids to make it special. Such as making our own Valentine's cards that way they will be different than everyone else in their class.

Layla got the "great catch" valentine with the swedish fish in the bag, and Lauren got the "You Rock" valentine to give to her class with the pop rocks. I lucked up and found free printables here and here (found on Pinterest...of course). I made Layla's teacher a knitted heart pillow that I totally forgot to take a picture of #epicfail, but it was super cute. This morning I decided to give them a little surprise in their lunch boxes and instead of boring ole square sandwhiches they got these...

Of course Layla wasn't really asleep when I thought she was and she heard me talking about it when I said, "let's keep it a secret so it will be a surprise" Layla yells from the bedroom "I heard that, mommy!" so needless to say they knew before school. These are the things that I enjoy about Valentine's day. Even though my hubby and I won't be able to do anything special today due to lack of funds and all the obligations we have throughout the day and night, we will be doing something together this weekend hopefully...and I'll get to kiss him goodnight to night, so thats always a good day.

Linking up with Neely

Its Ok Thursdays

Its Ok

...To want a piece of chocolate cake right now....this very minute

...To be ready for warm weather to stick around (warm not hot) so perhaps I could throw in a beach day

...That things just haven't seemed to be going our way lately. I'm sure it will all pan out. I'm having faith and leaving it all in God's hands...(he's better with these kinds of things than I am)

...To wish this day was over, the entire day, and that I was already sitting on my couch in my P.J's watching TVD

...That I haven't gotten to buy my hubby anything yet for Valentine's day. Hopefully we'll be able to make up for it on Saturday (fingers crossed)

...That my dearest daughter, Lauren, has been very emotional lately over a few things and I'm really dreading these teenage years that aren't too far off. #lotsofprayer

...To already want a cup of coffee and it's only 1pm. Where is Starbucks when you need them?

Hope ya'll have a great Thursday and a sweet Valentine's Day!

Everything is A-OKay!

Wow it's been almost a month since I have posted anything. I a bit ashamed of that fact, but I've had a hard time getting back into the groove since the holidays are over. I know, I know, we are basically in the middle of February and still I'm slackin, believe me...I'm aware. My work schedule has changed so I'm actually now off two days out of the week. I haven't wanted to spend those days in front of a computer so I've been cleaning things around the house that I previously didn't have time to do, then getting around to using my brand new sewing machine for the first time, and learning how to knit. (I'm obsessed with crafting!)

I'll share with you guys some of the things I've been working on when I make one mistake free at a later date. I also had some great news come to me yesterday.
My sister (Ree @ The Story Of My Life) and my BIL are going to have their first little baby! You just don't know how excited I am for them! They are going to be great parents, and just as importantly...I'm an awesome aunt! haha I can't wait to spoil Baby Dixon!

Its Ok Thursdays

Now onto the link-up with Neely that I have missed dearly.

Its OK

...that my car is acting crazy (i.e. cutting off, draining the battery, ect...)

...to just want to strangle some certain people sometimes for acting like an idiot. I mean come on.

...that I can't have Mellow Mushroom for lunch and I'll have to wait a whole week. Sigh.

...that I have done absolutely nothing work related since I've walked into my office. I'm way to distracted trying to find DIY V-day card ideas for my kids. Gotta get on that.

...That my little girls is growing up and wanting to learn how to straighten/curl her hair so she can primp in the morning before school. #timeflies

...that my days off are spent cleaning the house. I mean they are days off...and I'm working at home? Seriously, I need to find something else to do lol

...That I'm having to sell my horse. I don't want to, I love her so much, but finances are just too tight right now.

...to have a hard time letting go. I spent a whole afternoon reliving my ideas and dreams around certain things and then telling myself that it's not probable, and you have to let it go. So....I'm letting go. *tear*

I hope y'all have an awesome Thursday, hey don't forget your Umbrella...Jack.
